The technology supporting the Webwise privacy protection was designed from the ground up to eliminate the risks posed by collecting personal data.

Your privacy is 100% secure. Besides keeping no personally-identifying information, Webwise does not store IP addresses, page URLs, keywords or search terms. These are used only to match against a predefined “category” or area of interest (e.g., travel or finance). Afterwards, this information is discarded permanently, except the category matches. The category information is only associated with a unique, randomly-generated cookie that can be deleted at any time from the browser.

This is different from most other online advertising methods, and much more secure for users. Unlike search engines and most websites, Webwise can’t lose sensitive information, because it doesn’t have it in the first place.

We do not collect IP addresses. No information about a user’s identity is collected, only limited information about browsing behaviour.
